A passion for Quebec's hidden treasures, born from decades of local exploration
In 2014, after spending twenty years working as a tour guide in Montreal and Quebec City, our founder realized something was missing from the travel industry. While millions visited the province each year, almost none ventured into the communities that truly defined Quebec's character.
The idea was simple: create experiences that go beyond sightseeing. We wanted travellers to sit at the same tables as locals, learn traditional crafts from artisans who had inherited their skills through generations, and understand why Quebecers feel such a deep connection to their small towns.
We operate differently from conventional tour companies. Our groups never exceed eight people, ensuring intimate experiences and genuine interactions. We partner exclusively with locally-owned accommodations and restaurants, keeping tourism revenue within the communities we visit.
Every itinerary is developed in collaboration with local residents. Before we bring any guest to a new destination, our team spends weeks building relationships, understanding the community's comfort with visitors, and identifying experiences that are both authentic and appropriate to share with outsiders.
Tourism can be both a blessing and a burden for small communities. We take this responsibility seriously. Our tours are designed to minimize environmental impact and maximize community benefit. We offset carbon emissions from all transportation, use local suppliers wherever possible, and dedicate a portion of each booking to community preservation projects.
